The Smallcap and Midcap indices have seen some of the worst volatility this week. This week, the Smallcap index is down 7.4% and the midcap index is down 9.4%. This week, the Nifty Index also broke through the January 2025 low. The market is not reacting to the RBI's positive move of injecting liquidity through OMO and lower the CPI inflation figure for January 2025. The Nifty Index was volatile for the entire week. The Nifty has had a negative return for four months in a row. The repo rate was lowered by 25 basis points to 6.25% by the RBI. In January, India's CPI inflation rate dropped to 4.32% from 5.22% in December. 1.95 lakh crore in GST was collected in January 2025, a 12.3% increase over the previous year.
In January 2025, the US CPI was 3%, which is higher than December 2024 print. The Fed has signaled of No rate cut for 2025 as inflation is becoming sticky.

For the Year 2024 Model 1, 3 and Nifty Long Short returned +25%, +76%, and +45% respectively, compared to the Nifty 50 Index's return of +9%.

Model 1 has been operational since July 13, 2020, whereas the Index Long-Short strategy has been operational since August 14, 2020. Model 3 has been operating since July 12, 2021.
